A full worked example
Say someone has a 2,000 calorie daily target and follows a 16:8 pattern starting at noon, giving an 8 hour eating window from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a 16 hour fasting window. With 2 meals and an equal split, each meal gets exactly 1,000 calories, one at 12:00 PM and one at 8:00 PM, the two ends of the window.
Now suppose that same person switches to a front loaded 3 meal split instead. With 3 meals evenly spaced across the 8 hour window, meals land at 12:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 8:00 PM.
