What Is New World Armour Weight?
Armour weight is one of the most important combat mechanics in New World. Every piece of equipment contributes to your total equip load, which determines whether your character is classified as Light, Medium, or Heavy.
Your weight category affects dodge animations, mobility, survivability, damage output, healing effectiveness, and overall playstyle. Choosing the right armor combination can dramatically improve PvE and PvP performance.
Rather than wearing a complete heavy or light set, many advanced players mix different armor pieces to maximize defensive value while staying inside a preferred weight threshold.
